tom & i hung out till around 9

ate a pizza

he had to be at work in the morning, so he missed out on some dennys action

stew & kristie were there

lent stew my copy of tales from the mos eisly cantina

so he could read the stormtrooper story

i feel like a dork, me with a star wars book and stew with kerowak

i just dont have the time or money to read real books 8P

aaron showed up

kristie left

we talked about movies

batman, westerns, arthurian legend films

was fun

i love discussing films in general

especially Batman

along with return of the jedi, batman made me fall in love with film as an artform

tim burton/michael keaton's batman, that is

schumaker & kilmer ruined it

and with the next batman flick

going for arnold over patrick stewart for mr freeze...

ive lost faith in batman on film

the only one to ever come close to the comic was the animated one

batman : mask of the phantasm

great film, i highly recommend it

waiting anxiously for the next animated film

pity its the last animated batman work

they captured the right mixture between burton's dark view,

the comic's serious & grim tone

and the tv series' endless cast of villains

and did i mention the elfman-inspired music in the animated series?

elfman is god

well thats all i have to say
