"my life reduced to dots"
i took a test today for college
the asset test
no, its not an entrance exam, this is a community college, after
all
its just a way of determining where to place a prospective student
in the correct level course for the standard english/math requirements.
now here the funny part, heh
i took the test.
we got the results back in like 7 minutes.
there were three sections to complete; writing (grammar, sentence
structure), reading (extrapolating relevant facts from a passage), and
elementary algebra
the highest possible score for each section was 54, and the minimum
score to come in at a normal level is 39.
here are my scores
WRITING
READING
ALGEBRA

a quick perusal of the score = course level sheet revealed
that i could take the highest english courses they offer...
and i barely made it to normal math, heh
and i want to work with computers...
some retro-journal here;
sunday night i hung at nate's (he works at the coffee place) apartment
with some friends of his; guy by the name of william, two sisters originally
from san frisco(!) lindsey & robin, and another guy whose name escapes
me.
listened to music, had some beer, traded jokes, had roundabout
conversations, showed off wallets
the kinda stuff i used to do
and the most painful part
was learning that san frisco is EXACTLY what ive heard; the coolest,
friendliest place on earth.
sigh
ill be there in two years
i promise you this!
